Remanufactured is not the same as rebuilt or repaired. The distinction is critical. A rebuilt engine or component is disassembled only to the point of failure, and rebuilt using the same, new or aftermarket part.  When an engine or component is repaired, onkly the defective parts are examined and replaced.
